Image by Dean Davis: This is an image I made for Avista Utilities at their Post Falls Dam powerhouse. These turbines have been running since 1906. This dam's primary task is to regulate the water level of Lake Coeur d' Alene. It is the first dam of several on the Spokane River and generates about 4 megawatts of electricity. The industrial design from this era was pretty amazing.
